After much finagling, (and a minor issue with mail that has been resolved–and another with antivirus that hasn’t) I am finally free of that ME demon.

Improvements noted:
Counter-Strike running at 100 fps, as opposed to 14.
Program Crash recovery.

Niggling bits that bother me:
Can’t uninstall anti-virus software to reinstall it. Will perform additional finagling later.

And yes, “finagling” is a word.

These moments here, these are the worst moments. The ones where you’re not sure if the installation just plain hung or it’s just taking a really long time. Yes, I know that the correct proper way to do this is to wipe everything and then install fresh. This is a stopgap measure until I can get some time to plan the XP migration.

In other news, people should try the CS server again. Should be up and running.

I am, at this moment, upgrading my machine to Windows 2000. As such, I am preparing to walk the way of pain.

Ahhh. . . So this is what everyone’s talking about–this whole “sleeping late” thing. Rather curious. I seem to have traded about seven hours of daylight for this restful foggy feeling.

Let’s see here. In scant three hours, I will have been up for twenty-four hours. Long day today. Not “long” as in a workday long. But one of the long days that you wish would not end because you’re having such a good time.

*sigh*

I might as well get started on Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault.
