Our office has a picture of the whole department up on the refrigerator door right now. It’s a nice picture, pretty clear day, good view of all of our faces.
This morning we had a few visitors, one of whom was familiar with the office.
They see the picture on the refrigerator door and ask the receptionist who the new employee is.
She’s confused because we haven’t hired anyone lately. She asks them to point out who they’re talking about and they point to someone, referring to them as the “new Chinese girl.”
At this point, I think you know how the story ends. My hair isn’t even visible in the picture.
