Cats & Dogs

Okay, I went and watched Cats & Dogs last night. Yes, cute movie, very cute. Not Blade Runner or even Casablanca in the least, but it did have a storyline (albeit a nonsensical plothole ridden for god’s sake it’s based on talking animals storyline) that remained consistent throughout the movie. Unlike a certain other movie about Synthetic Reasoning.

Also, went out to a diner last night where I would guess that the waitress paid us the amount of attention that a hyena gives flies on a rotting corpse. That is to say, the amount of attention given to four young lads who ordered only dessert. Four young lads who would have tipped handsomely, had she actually paid us any fucking attention. Normally, this place is pretty good, but I guess she was too busy to actually ask us how we were doing in the twenty minutes we were waiting for three milkshakes and an apple pie a la mode. No prepared food, just drinks and pie with ice cream slapped on it.

Ah, let’s see, things to do today. Find DDR for my brother and myself.

POX

Knowing my penchant (some would say obsession) with all things electronic, it is no surprise that I’m somewhat interested in a little gadget from Hasbro called, POX. From what I can tell, it’s Pokemon and Digimon, fused with battlebots and an RF transmitter for wireless battling. There’s some alien DNA nanobot nonsense on the website, but basically, I’m looking to kick some nanobot butt. When I get my hands on one, it’ll probably be more of a battle to find other folks to battle against.

Commuting after July 4th

Well. I was doing okay up until the whole, “get up and go to work” thing. Had a great fourth of July yesterday. Watched the fireworks from Rosslyn in air conditioned conference room due to the generosity of a friend of ours. Better than sitting in a bunch of mud on the mall. The metro hasn’t quite recovered from last nights flood of wet riders, I could tell from the ride in today.

Realizing that perhaps my web skills have atrophied and maybe, just maybe I need to get back into maintaining this website a little more often. A pic a day, a paragraph a day, that’s all you guys ask, right? If there’s something you’d like to see, drop me a note.

Looking forward to shoujocon next weekend, most likely, that’ll mean a lapse in updates for that weekend. Not that I was updating all that much to begin with.

Ready for July 4th

The Fourth of July is tomorrow, and that means that it’s also a friend’s birthday. Well, happy birthday, Enrico.

In other news, I’m still playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Here’s a pic, courtesy the highest resolution black and white camera that Nintendo ever made available to the public for under ten dollars. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Game Boy Camera:

Dammit, let me sleep.

A couple of friends should be coming down this weekend. I’m looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July in air conditioned comfort. The last two years have been really, really bad. As in chew your air before you breathe it and don’t trample any children on your way home via the metro bad.

Well, I’d best be going, I’m wasting valuable Diablo time.

Diablo II

It’s official. I’m hooked on Diablo II again, no doubt due to the fact that the digital crack dealers over at Blizzard got the expansion pack out. Two games about Baal released within weeks of each other. You know this brings a tear to the Lord of Destruction’s eye. Or eyes. Or whatever.

My personal favorite so far? The Druid. All the necromancer summoning goodness, with a healthy portion of lycanthropy. Nothing quite like infecting your enemies with rabies while your conspiracy of ravens tear their eyes out. Good old rabies, never lets me down.
