Despite my rantings to the contrary–I have fantastically cool parents.
I get email from my mother making sure that I “goof off.”
Will do mom!
My only new year resolution is this: Take each of my friends out to dinner.
No, you may not summon an elder god to the table. No, you cannot insist that I eat something with fava beans in it. No, I will not buy you fugu.
Think you can comply? If you’re reading this, you probably count. You are responsible for getting down here to DC, however. If you’re not here already.
Email me.
Must. . . Stop. . . Reading online comic. . .
Kinda hooked on GPF right now. Hopefully, it’s hold will loosen when I finally get caught up to date.
Trying to decide if I want to go out to D&B’s or set up XP on my main machine. ME is rather unstable, and XP looks rather appealing, although I’d rather not have to deal with all of the “activation” issues. Both of these would be fun. (Yes, even the XP installation.)
Then there are the times at night, when I lay awake in bed, then I realize: I haven’t written anything. Then, of course, I’m here. Or if I’m not here, I’m taking that fine point black ball point pen with the gel ink, and writing in one of five journals.
Long day at work today. But I feel like I did a good job. Dealt with a difficult customer, but still managed to get the job done. Overall, a good day. But so tired now. Went to the American City Diner for dinner. Had a belgian waffle. I guess I’m eating breakfast the night before. I’m not going to get enough sleep. I believe that my sleep schedule is still disturbed from my trip home. I do still miss everyone, but I’m glad to be back.
Back home.
Watched LOTR again tonight at the Uptown. I just don’t know what it is. Generally, if there’s a movie at the Uptown, I want to watch it. Probably because it’s the largest screen in town. Then again, it’s also the closest movie theater to my apartment.
Mel and I wanted to watch it, I think mainly for the “Legolas kicking ass” sequences. I still really want to see the Elven knives that are crossed on his back. Probably pissing off the older couple in front of us with our Star Wars silliness.
Gandalf: “Run Luke! Run!”
Then dinner at Nam Viet. Glorious, warm, delicious pho. And appetizers. And that one cute waitress. Rowr. *cough*
