I’ve got a clock that’s managed to stop. I think the battery is out. It’s not broken, but it lacks enough power to bring the second hand around past the eight. So, it twitches there like a fly on its back. Once a second. Twitch. Twitch. Twitch.
So basically, this clock is not completely wrong, but it’s right twice a day. And it turns out that it’s the only two times of the day that I look at it. For the past two days now, I’ve looked at the clock, realized it was wrong, then checked the nearest correct clock. And of course, the times have been correct. I’ve checked the clock at nine forty-seven each morning and evening.
